One girl at a time, the Atlanta Girls’ School strives to develop well-educated, confident, self-reliant, and successful young women in grades 6 through 12.

At AGS, we endorse and nurture the strengths in our students. Our all-girl environment encourages students to develop and exercise their intellectual and leadership skills and their diverse, creative, and athletic capabilities.

We help each student develop a deeper sense of self, a steadfast belief in her own voice, and the realization she can influence change in the world.

We encourage our girls to take academic risks and to develop their individual talents and creativity. Special programs are designed to build leadership skills and to foster an understanding of the value of service to others. Students are not only expected to experience learning within the classroom but also to learn from the rich diversity in the AGS community and in greater Atlanta. True to our mission, we pride ourselves on enrolling girls from a wide range of ethnic, religious, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
