ADMISSION

The academic program at Atlanta Girls' School is designed for girls in grades 6 through 12 who are intellectually curious, academically motivated, and highly committed to obtaining the education, mentoring, and support to achieve their full potential.

Admission to AGS is competitive and each candidate is considered based on her individual achievements, academic promise, character, and willingness to become a full participant in the life of the school. When considering a student's candidacy, the Admission committee carefully reviews school transcripts, teacher recommendations, personal essays, writing samples, results from the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) and the personal interview.

To apply for admission, potential AGS families should begin the application process in October and complete the entire process by February 15th to receive an April notification. All applications received after February 15th will be reviewed on a rolling admission basis.
