Education for the Development of Leadership and Service

AGS students learn leadership skills and practice stewardship through our EDL program. Through this program, our students experience the joy of service and the challenge of being a 21st century citizen. As students mature, their activities are increasingly connected to the greater Atlanta community.

Driven by curricular elements that enhance a girl’s ability to lead, the activities in this monthly program are organized by grade-level and are designed to meet the level and interests of the students involved. The curricular elements of EDL span grade levels.

They are:

• Leadership through understanding and serving the needs of the community
• Leadership through understanding, utilizing, and developing the student’s own strengths
• Leadership through understanding and appreciating the strengths of others
• Leadership through understanding and advocating for one’s self and for others
